Whoa something worthy of DA finally!
So it was originally a sketch, then turned into an inked picture, then turned into a painting. I didn't want a stock grey background but I also was lazy. Bam.

Great composition and expression in this one. If I can try and point out a place to improve, I see a giant tome, and I see a mage-like gesture which tells us that, thanks to magic, he's not falling to his death. Perhaps show us some concrete magical effect actually slowing him, such as ethereal ghosts or what not
